With 2017 off to a fast start, the rat race is on. The drudgery of being back to work has left a damper on what you have to look forward to (how’s this rain?). All we know is that it’s becoming more and more of a necessity to unwind and enjoy what life has to offer.

To help you in your quest for #bucketlistmoments, we have compiled a few upcoming sporting events for you to really enjoy your favourite sporting teams up close and personal.

Now, taken that the mental and physical energy wasted on organizing transport and parking to such events is completely the opposite of what you are trying to achieve – why not book your transport with Snappy and get to these events fully charged and ready to shout and cheer to your hearts content.

Titans V Cape Cobras

Kaizer Chiefs V Mamelodi Sundowns

Football Stadium

April fools (1st of April) is a master class of sports for pretty much anyone that enjoys local sport. For the football fanatics one of the biggest clashes of the Absa Premiership is taking place at the infamous Calabash (FNB Stadium) – this event is truly one for the books with all the vuvuzela’s, shibobo’s and “LADUMA’s!” it promises to be one of the best South African sporting events to attend.

Lions V Sharks

Rugby Stadium

And if football isn’t your cup of tea and you prefer a good old game of rugga, then look no further than to The Lion’s Den (Emirates Airlines Park) where the Lions will take on the Sharks. The Lion’s Den has become one of the countries most exciting stadiums to visit with their team’s recent successes; as such the atmosphere will be overflowing especially when paired with good Rugby.

Saints Sports Festival

The April Armageddon continues on the 13th with the 34th installment of the Easter Sports Festival hosted by St Stithian’s College. This event is a showcase for South African school sports, as the schools not only compete in rugby and hockey but also cross country, netball, squash and tennis. It’s a great experience with a lot of school spirit, an unparalleled vibe, live music, and tons of yummy grub and beverages to help wash down all the sporting action.

Bulls V Stormers

Rugby Stadium

In July the Super Rugby scene starts to get heated as our weather cools down making it an ideal event to get the blood flowing and heart rates up by watching two of the best rugby teams in South Africa battle it out in the Bull Pen (Loftus Versfeld). Get a boerie roll and a tasty beverage and you are set for the experience that is Loftus Versfeld whether it be the rugby or the Bulls babes strutting their stuff at half time. This is yet another truly African experience that would be a shame for you to miss.
